Brassworks – Montclair, NJ

BrassWorks, located at 105 Grove Street in Montclair, NJ where Jack Finn & Company Building Contractors resides, began as a brass signage factory.  Prior to purchase and renovation, the building was used as an auto parts warehouse, an empty shell in disrepair with tremendous potential as a commercial property.

The extensive renovation included restoration of the brick façade and the original block glass windows, the installation of skylights to provide natural light, a resurfaced parking lot including landscaping.  Tremendous coordination of many subcontractors was required to reclaim this warehouse as commercial space.

The wide interior hallways are conducive to hosting art exhibits featuring local artists, a homage to the buildings previous life producing finely etched brass plates.
